LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS IN A TEAM

Take your team on a journey.
The rapid pace of technological development creates anxiety and excessive demands.
For each individual, it is about finding their place in the world of work. In management, as an employee and as a private individual.
The ability of each individual to rethink is not dependent on age and intelligence.
Reduce fears instead of building them up with team coaching. The focus is on communication.
Redundancies and restructuring may be necessary to save the business. Talking about it and pointing out solutions is not easy, but often preferable to silence and uncertainty. Three years ago, I joined a team where there was war on all fronts. Both among the developers and with the stakeholders, meetings with exchanges of blows were the order of the day. THAT MAKES NO JOY!
But what were the reasons for this?
Stakeholders lacked knowledge about the IT basis and the developers were more of a bunch that had come together than a team where everyone was working on their own ideas.
I sat down with each individual developer several times and agreed on the direction of travel and defined demanding milestones with them. I created transparency and trust with the stakeholders. Two years ago, I joined a team of developers on the bench who were developing an idea in a relatively unmotivated way but hadn’t really gotten anywhere in the last two years. The motivation was in the basement.
I took the idea and generated a concrete product idea from it. From this, I created initial designs and the solution architecture, which was followed by the complete redevelopment of the backend and frontend.
I turned the spare bench into an “innovation team”, created milestones and led the Scrum meetings as Scrum Master so that every developer was involved.
Even though the team had a high turnover, the core team carried the motivation and drive. Together, we built 2 market-ready SaaS ERP systems from scratch and the motivation in the team radiated throughout the entire company.
My primary focus is to bring the team onto a common basis of technological possibilities that are relevant for its functioning in the company.
As an external consultant, I am not directly involved in the company structure and can bring a different perspective.
My strength lies in recognizing real problems, breaking them down and finding efficient solutions for them that can be implemented in practice.
Consultation with management is the first step in defining goals. Depending on the initial situation, I first provide a general overview and an introduction in team coaching sessions. It is important to me to promote activity at all levels in the company in order to initiate a sustainable approach to digitalization. When the external consulting stops, the pendulum should not swing back again. I am also happy to support you and your team over a longer period of time, as completed projects usually cannot do justice to the rapid pace of change in today’s world. Continuous training is the key to sustainability.
